Have you read New Moon?
My hubby sort of forced me to read this book a few days ago. I said “forced” because I put it down and refused to read it after the first few pages. I’m more into the writings of JK Rowling and J. R. R. Tolkien and even though I kinda liked Twilight, I still think Stephanie Meyer’s style doesn’t appeal much to me like Rowling’s and Tolkien’s writings do.
But thanks to my husband’s insistence, I was able to finish reading New Moon. It was okay, after all, especially the werewolves’ part of the story. I’m highly anticipating the transformation of Jacob Black on the big screen. I’m sure a lot of New Moon fans will like what Jacob has become here.
New Moon is a bit more complicated than Twilight with the introduction of the Volturi family. They’ve been mentioned in Twilight but the vastness of their power and influence over the vampire world was not very well divulged then. In New Moon, you’ll enter the world of these dangerous vampires. Plus the werewolves make the story more interesting, you’ll probably look forward to the next book for developments. I’m not so much into the love triangle Jacob-Bella-Edward because it’s too obvious that Bella is sooo into Edward. But I can’t wait to find out in the next installment if the good vampires (Edward’s family) will eventually work together with Jacob and his pack to protect Bella and the people of Forks. Long shot? Lol!
The usual clumsy Bella is still clumsy as ever and the usual “cheesiness” between her and Edward is still there too. But in general, the book will save you from a boring afternoon. Have you read it?

haha, these days, most my reading are on line.

I have read the whole series, and New Moon was my least favorite. My favorite is Breaking Cawn, the last book in the series. I hope you continue to read these books.

i was in the bookstore the other day looking for something to buy. i was holding new moon and debating whether i should buy it. i watch twilight on big screen, liked it but i am not much into that kind of genre. i know for a fact that film adaptation pale in comparison when matched against the book.
i might give it a try. i might come to love it and be a fan.

I thoroughly enjoyed the J.K Rowling series. I was surprised that I did thinking it was going to be kiddish in writing but I was wrong.
I haven’t read any of the Twilight series. I don’t know if I will, but the series does have a lot of fans which peaks my curiousity.

I really have little patience in reading books… I might prefer watching the movie instead… jejejejejejeje

I’m trying to finish it with all my might but I can’t seem to finish it. LOL.

I read the whole saga. I’d say it was compelling, almost hypnotic. I started reading bearing in mind that it’s really a young adult book, that way I allowed myself to enjoy it and leave the criticisms behind.

Yep, I’ve read it. I’ve read the whole saga in less than 2 weeks. I was so annoyed while reading New Moon. But not as annoyed as when I was reading Eclipse. Haha! I’m all for Edward.

Yup, I’ve read the whole twilight saga, too. I even read the leaked chapters of Midnight Sun (Twilight from Edward’s POV). Thanks to my tutees who took turns lending me their hardbound copies. I’m also addicted to Bella’s lullaby and I would play the song whenever I feel that I need to relax and slow down. I didn’t like the movie version though but I already have a date for the New Moon showing this November. Haha addict! Kakakilig kse parang feeling ko HS ako ulit.
